Trauma & Addiction Therapy
Life Well
If you feel stuck in the waves of trauma, addiction, and emotional overwhelm, come move toward greater wellness.
“from your heart flows the wellspring of life”
What is Life Well all about?
Have you noticed a stuck feeling in your life? Maybe you notice past trauma and hurt continuing to affect your attachments & relationships, sense of direction, the way you cope with stress, and even certain habits and addictions forming as a way to soothe and escape. It becomes a consistent cycle.
Life Well is here to provide a safe and supportive space where you can be vulnerable, process your life, and move towards greater wellness in your life. It truly finds its foundation and inspiration from John 4:13-14:
“Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
At Life Well, we want healing to feel like breaking away from a life of surviving and stuckness, and a move towards wellness that lasts.
For clients who do not identify with faith, we welcome you just the same. You may also feel stuck and are searching for a way to move through life with confidence instead of despair. Life Well can be a place for you to process trauma, addictions, anxieties, burnout, and life direction in a way that focuses on what wellness looks like for you, and how to reach that goal.
Wherever you are starting from, Life Well offers a space to begin the work of healing, growth, and moving toward a life that can be lived with greater clarity and confidence.
The Life Behind
Life Well
Josh Dale, RP, MDiv., BRE, CCTS-I
Founder
Life Well began out of a desire to create a space where we can work towards wellness in areas of your life that have often felt like survival mode. After many years working with individuals navigating trauma, addiction, and emotional struggles, it became clear to me how many people carry these burdens quietly and often feel unsure about where to turn for support.
I have spent over 10 years working in the mental health field and have completed my MDiv. in Clinical Counselling. I have also completed a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist training. Much of my work has focused on supporting individuals who are: working through trauma, addiction, anxiety, burnout, and struggles with identity, attachment, and self-worth. I also have experience working with individuals navigating adoptee trauma, religious trauma, emotional regulation challenges, depression, and questions related to faith and personal meaning.
My approach to therapy is flexible and relational. I aim to meet each person where they are and work in ways that help them feel understood and supported. Sessions may involve exploration, practical education, creative reflection, and at times, some positive challenge when growth requires it. While therapy can often involve serious and meaningful work, there can also be moments of humour, relief, and rest along the way.
Ultimately, my hope is that therapy becomes a space where you feel heard, affirmed, and supported as you begin moving from feeling overwhelmed toward a life that is lived with true wellness.
